Team WCA Cycles in Prudential RideLondon to raise money for Children in War Zones
12 Aug, 2019

LONDON, August 4 2019 -Ten WCA members and staff from around the world completed the famous Prudential RideLondon 100-mile (161-km) cycle challenge; raising more than US$6,000 for the international charity, War Child.

All ten of WCA's riders completed the course - which included two significant climbs into the Surrey Hills -alongside 25,000 other riders. The ride was a significant accomplishment for many on the team.

"I am extremely proud and honoured to have ridden with our members and staff in this event," said Dan March, CEO of WCA. "The charity does great work in helping injured and orphaned children around the world and helps rebuild communities as well as provide essential infrastructure."

War Child works to support children in conflict areas long after the TV cameras have gone home; keeping children safe, giving them an education, and equipping them with skills for future success. The money gathered by WCA's RideLondon team went towards War Child's ongoing efforts to support some 123,000 children in nine countries.

WCA's team was comprised of the following network members:

The following WCA staff was also on the team:

  • Dan March, CEO
  • Chris Dunn, Regional Manager; Middle East
  • Edwin van der Genugten, Regional Manager; Europe
  • Adam McKenna, General Manager; Perishables, Time Critical, Pharma

The ride would not have been possible without the support of Brendan Beech and UK WCA member Maltacourt Global Logistics, who arranged transport and logistics for the team.

WCA is still collecting contributions for this worthy cause. You can learn and donate by visiting the teams fundraiser page.
